Meet Jackie

With over 15 years of clinical healthcare experience as a teacher and practitioner, she brings grounded presence, compassion and holistic healing into all of her sessions and events.

 

Jackie is a Certified Sound Therapist and Certified Master Energy Healer with training in USUI Reiki level 3, Sacred Geometry, Quantum Healing, Women's Health & Qi-Gong.  She is a practicing Yoga & Meditation Teacher; RYT-250hr: SAAT LUNE (RYT200hr Hatha, Kundalini and Yin Yoga) and DEVA TREE (50hrYTT Nada and Bhakti). Jackie is Registered Practical Nurse with certifications in Palliative Care Foundations, Advanced Holistic Footcare & Comprehensive Advanced Palliative Care Education.

Her education and background includes pharmaceutical clinical research and laboratory experience before transitioning into the Nursing field. Working in hospital with patients on Palliative Care, Surgical, Mental Health and Chronic Illness for 9 years led her to teach the Clinical Nursing Program in Palliative Care at Lambton College for 5 years. Throughout her career, she has travelled to Toronto, Banff and Montreal in Canada; Boston,  New York, and North Carolina in the USA and Paris, France to meet with leaders in healthcare for workshops and seminars in Chronic Illness, Spirituality, End of Life Dreams & Visions, Palliative Care, & Grief.

In 2019, Jackie created True Roots Healing Arts and began to shift her work into private practice.  She connects with clients privately for coaching, healing sessions, teaches group classes, hosts retreats and community events.   

Over the years, Jackie has trained many nurses and energy healers within the community to bridge holistic healing modalities and tools into their practice.

Vibrational Sound Therapy is used alongside other forms of energy work to bring balance and healing. At our very core, we are SOUND, ENERGY & VIBRATION. Viewing this human experience in a layered and multidimensional perspective, coaching is offered to clients to help integrate the shifts that are taking place in the body, energy and mind. Read more about Sound Healing HERE.

Jackie discovered these healing tools while searching for answers to heal from her own chronic health disorders and dis-ease with the intention to help herself and others find a greater depth of healing, empowerment and connection.

Jackie is a musician with a deep love for performance arts, music and bringing community together. She discovered the depth of musics' healing capacity while working with clients in Palliative Care and at the End of Life, expanding this modality of music and Sound Therapy into her work to foster connection and healing with others in private sessions or group events.

 

Jackie hosts group Sound Healing Events and KIRTAN at various community locations. KIRTAN is a musical event combining mantra, sacred chants, song and community in an uplifting and blissful experience. Jackie is also the singer-songwriter in an indie folk band, JD Wales, where she shares her creativity as a poet and performance artist.
